For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by Chinese culture. I have been practicing martial arts for over twenty-five years. I love this country's mythology, food, clothing, ceramics, architecture, medicine, language, philosophy, landscapes, and people. Chinese culture is so vast and intricate that pulling on one thread leads you down an endless path. That is the path I am on now—a moment where I can finally share all my experience with the rest of the world. My long-standing goal has been to bring the West closer to a less known side of China: a China that moves at a slower pace, crafting high-quality, handmade artisanal goods—items created with time and care for its own martial arts, temples, and homes—that are rarely seen abroad. SIFU TAO was born from this spirit—a Sino-Spanish collaboration blending creativity and hard work. We each contribute with the best of ourselves to create a window that introduces the world to the China of martial arts and traditional craftsmanship. SIFU TAO is not about mass-produced industrial goods; every item on this site is personally selected and tested by us. While we are based in Foshan—the city of kung fu—we have sourced products from many different provinces to include in our project. Our vision is to create a system that is accessible and affordable for every country and for anyone wishing to discover the beauty of China; our product range spans everything from simple essentials to exquisite artisanal pieces.
